| Okay.....Here's my thoughts after driving ~ 200 miles on the Leader Gears. After roughly 40 miles of gingerly break-in driving, I drove approximately another 150 miles of stop-n-go, highway, and hard acceleration. Everyday driving is greatly enhanced. In normal shifting, there is much more power as soon as I hit the next gear. Lag is greatly reduced. Also, I get louder exhaust note which I assume is due to higher RPMs. Before the gears, I almost never hit 5th gear since I drive mostly in town. Now I find myself using 5th more often. Highway driving is fine. I do have a SLIGHT whine, but it's only when I reach approx 62 MPH and it seems decrease when I hit around 85 MPH. This could be a bit annoying if you have a car with stock pipes and no radio. With your radio at a moderate level and most aftermarket exhaust, the whine would likely go unnoticed. There is NO whine I can detect below the 62 MPH mark. Hard acceleration is great! Haven't really noticed much increased wheel spin. Much more responsive. In summary: Are the gears worth it? Hell Yes! They've been IMO the best upgrade I've made thus far. The car feels lighter, much more responsive, and much more steady power band. I'm still grinning as I write this post :) GPA
